Napa and Sonoma County Wildfires
As a community, we are coming together to support those who have lost homes, wineries, businesses, and livelihoods. In response to several major Napa County fires that started burning the night of October 8th and have displaced thousands of area residents thus far, Napa Valley Community Foundation (NVCF) has mobilized its Disaster Relief Fund.
The Foundation is distributing direct response grants to a targeted list of local nonprofits. These grants go to a select group of trusted nonprofit service providers who are helping with temporary shelter, meals, medical care, child care, and mental health as well as care of animals that have been evacuated with owners. All of these nonprofits received intensive technical assistance from NVCF to boost their capacity to respond to events such as the fire relief efforts now underway in Napa County.
We've received inquiries on how you can help. One way is through a tax-deductible donation to the Napa Valley Disaster Relief Fund. Please visit https://donatenow.networkforgood.org/napafirerelief to make a secure online donation.
If you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
Mission Dolores Academy
Luna Vineyards was proud to partner with Mission Dolores Academy in November 2016 during their annual fundraising "A Night on the Town." Mission Dolores Academy is made up of families coming from a range of San Francisco's culturally diverse neighborhoods. Their common aim of providing students with a supportive and equitable foundation for education is admirable and inspirational. We are honored to share our passion and commitment to equality for all children.
Lake County Fire Community Support
In August 2016, during the devastating Lake County Fire, Luna collected usable, clean clothing for the Lake County fellowship church. The church used the donations specifically for those victims who lost their homes.
Luna CEO Andre Crisp says, "At Luna we don't all share the same last name but we are a family. I believe this principle extends to our friends and neighbors throughout Napa Valley, especially those who have been impacted and displaced by the [Lake County] fire...Thank you for joining me in supporting our brothers and sisters to the north, and thank you for your kindness. Luna Vineyards extends our love and support to the families in Lake County."
